Office system :
Shindo Giscours and Nagra MSA with Kef Coda 7 :

No !! No way !! I am just kidding. The man who bought me the Giscours had to come to my office so I set it up there for one day !

Here is the real one : McIntosh MA5100 and Kef Coda 7 or Falcons LS3/5a 15 ohms :

Serge,
It sounds.....delicious.
Very musical. The mids and highs are natural and smooth. The bass has lots of weight and texture but lacks the resolution and attack of modern designs. It is a bit slow.
For more transparency and speed in this era, for integrateds, the choice should be the MA230 or the MAC1500

Jerome.......Yes, I agree. I owned the McIntosh MA5100 and the MA230 integrated amplifiers at the same time. I sold the MA5100 and still own the MA230 which features a solid state preamp coupled with the tube power amp. The MA230 has a wonderfully rich and musical presentation. I can listen to it all day.

Dan, that’s a great story how the MA230 found it’s way back to you thanks to one of our very thoughtful and generous members and how you gave it a new life with the help of Terry D. Under your care it will continue to sing for decades to come.
