Default QB-9 problem...
I've lived happily with my QB-9 for around five years, or so. I use it with a last generation Mac Mini, loaded with Amarra software. I have a four terabyte external drive hooked up also. Lately, over the last month or so, I've sometimes had to restart the computer, in order for the DAC to receive the signal. It didn't happen always, just every now and then. I figured it was that Amarra or iTunes needed more time to synch up. Yesterday, it wouldn't sync up, even after rebooting three or four times. I've unplugged the cables and replugged them back in. Any thoughts on what might be happening?

Do you have another computer you can put the QB9 on?

I had the same problem with the same set up. Switched to J River, problem gone.

I've had the same issues with BitPerfect. Never see the problem when I use only iTunes. I tend to see this when I've been playing for a while. Going through burnin and playing my system a lot lately.

Seems my problem was that I had another computer on downstairs and it had the same name for its music folder. Problem appears resolved. Many thanks to those offering suggestions and experiences.
