You can probably find a pair for about 1500 bucks and they are pretty amazing.

The stereo shop I work at had the pair of Acoustat Spectra 22 traded in this week, the same pair of speakers I owned as new in 1990, serial numbers same as my speakers ( always keep records )

Of course I re-claimed the speakers before they could be resold again

I realize they do not sound the same as current Martin Logan we sell at stereo shop I work at but electrostatics still sound better to me than any box speaker

Made decision to save up for Martin Logan CLX as these is what I really want.

Listening to Acoustats again has made music fun and enjoyable again - incredible sound

I recently got a pair of ML Summits. After much adjustment, I'm loving them! When you get them dialed in, they're phenomenal.

Hi Dan, there is nothing wrong with saving up for Martin Logan CLX BUT i can asure you that they are NO match to the much older Acoustat Spectra 6600 at half the price, yes i have heard both and i'm not the only one to think that, whe are a bunch of Acoustat proud owners in Quebec Canada that think the same, please don't forget the Spectra 22s was one of Acoustat smaller models yes they do a very good job i know them very well, i have a pair that i am selling for a friend for $1,000.00 canadian, that is not the same as the bigger one's but for 1k pretty hard to beat, i am not trying to sell these speakers here, i just want to show the difference between a small model and a bigger one that's all, here are some photos of the 1k Spectra 22s.

PS: If you have the ceiling height ALWAYS choose the 94 inches high models ( the double stacked models ) they are MUCH better.

ML, somethings.

Glad to know you have a competent system.

You are almost right 
But You can go with magnetostatics as well (had Quad's, Audiostatic and Martin Logan in the past)

Cheers mate
