For now, still cannot handle DSD files.

The unit that was demo'd for me had some trouble syncing when I asked them to switch between different file resolutions. Have you found that to be an issue?
Still-one... Every once in a while it takes a few seconds to sync properly.
There are settings that can be changed to accommodate.
I have played with those settings a little and it doesn't always happen. It doesn't happen enough to bother me or work harder to get the settings perfect.
It will be real nice when they update for DSD.
It has taken a lot of the music that I have played in the olive and didn't like and made it sound nice.
Almost organic sounding.

Are you sending the output from the S10 to the DAC's in your MCD-1100??

Still-one....I am sending the output to my MCD-1100 via Wireworld Platinum USB that I got from Ivan.
I have tried several input including glass toslink and found the USB to sound the best.
I did the factory USB firmware update on the McIntosh.
Currently I have the MCD-1100 for sale on AA.
I am going to change to Esoteric

Default Aurender and Esoteric

Good news......
When I bought the Aurender S10, I decided to use the McIntosh MCD1100 as the DAC temporarily.
I researched DACs to find a real nice one.
I wanted a new Esoteric K03 to replace my McIntosh but received emails from both Esoteric and Aurender that the USB input on the K03 was not compatible with the S10.
For that reason, I bought the AMR DP-777 and waited on the K03.
A few days ago I received the K03 and just for the heck of it, I plugged my S10 in to the USB and it worked.
I sent an email to Aurender and was informed that an update was done to resolve this issue.
This update also made the Aurender S10 DSD capable.
I love Aurender!!!

MAC10,

I have the K-03 too, and I'm very interesting in the Aurender S10. What do you thinking aboute this combination?

After the update in your S10, do you use DSD with the K-03?

Nice regards,
Ricardo Nonato.

Ricardo...I absolutely love the 2 together!
I love the Aurender S10 and I love the K03......and they work well together.
unfortunately both my K03 and the DAC currently being used by the S10 are both in break in.
I have not had time to test DSD between the K03 and the S10.
By the end of the weekend, I will give a true review.

MAC10,

thanks for your information.

Did you made A x B between digital files from S10 and the K-03 transport? What do you knew?

Regards,
Ricardo Nonato.

Jules...I think that the Aurender is almost organic.
Did I really just say that!!
No seriously, I have had the Aurender through 3 DACs and it always sounded a little organic to me.
It is quiet and fast but slightly warm.
I have about 120 hours on my AMR DAC right now with the S10 going through it and it almost sounds like vinyl to me without the clicks and pops.
