Yes I can pull them out from the wall about 4 feet. I do have to move one of the chairs out of the way. It's not ideal by a long shot. I have a large finished basement that I was going to move to but my son has moved back home and has band practice with his friends down there. I was concerned about something getting broken. Why don't you have your son and his friends do band practice in the garage so you can take back your finished basement and have a better listening arrangement for your speakers?

Tell him it will be easier for everybody in the band because the garage has easy access for loading and unloading the cars/vans with their stuff and they won't have to carry their equipment up and down stairs. . . . Can you tell I've been there? in the band that is?
