I'm mainly looking for the service manual. I've got the owners manual. That control in the back only adjusts the LED level lights. It's the other display lights that are out. I could have been more clear. I'm really thinking it's a relay issue. Also, that model doesn't seem to use the separate input for illumination so it should be on whenever the amp is on.

Default McIntosh Service Manuals

Maybe the lights are all cooked?

They don’t last and on mine, they seem to all go at the same time. Mine have been out for a year +. While I have new ones, I have been too lazy to attempt the soldering.

I should add that I have had my MC7106 for 22 years and this is the second time all the lights went out. The first time Audio Classics repaired the unit and gave me me extra lamps.

I keep mine in a cabinet and couldn’t care less if the lights are on or not.

Curious.. did they all go out at the same time or did it happen gradually? It's been more of an annoyance for me because they worked fine when i dismantled the rack and when I put everything back together, they didn't.

Have you ever had it recapped?

It's a great amp. I had been running it in 3ch bridged for the front L/C/R. I've had it 5-ish years and bought it for a song in mint condition. I couldn't have been happier until I got an MC452 for my mains.

Yes, They all went within a week or two of each other. No, I have never had mine recapped. It just keeps working. Although I am not that critical of the sound of my TV system where it is used.

This might not be the best place to post this, . . . . Is anyone able to tell me where or how to obtain the Service Manual for the new McIntosh MAC7200 Receiver? I have thought of calling the McIntosh Service Department, but I was hoping to obtain a copy in a .pdf format. Any suggestions or thoughts on this? Appreciate any feed back or replies.

Default Thank You W9TR

W9TR - Thanks for your suggestion! I did just that! Gail Steere from the Service & Parts Department responded the next business day and sent the ServiceManual.pdf that I wanted! What Great Service McIntosh gives! At least thus far! Happy Listening and have a Safe Summer!
