If you use a little windex, wipe with paper towel and then rub remote on flannel/cotton that is tight you can creating a bit of friction you can get rid of the stickiness. Same issue with Harmony 1100 remotes.

Tried Windex with no luck but iso worked....
How does the remote come apart ? I see no screws. Where would you pry ?

No, screws. Believe it is secured with an adhesive.

Has anyone tried denurated alcohol? It’s a much better solvent than isopropyl. Not sure what it would do to the printing though. I have the HR072 and while it hasn’t yet become sticky, I can see down the road where that condition might start to develop.

Denatured alcohol is nothing more than ethanol with an additive to make it undrinkable. I think both will do just fine.

Yep, a common denaturing ‘poison’ is Methanol. Drink that in enough quantity and you will likely go blind among other potential ailments. It will however add to the solvent characteristics/performance of the ethanol.

Most remotes have a single screw in the battery compartment. Remove then gently pry apart
