I hate to be the last guy at the party but can someone please send me instructions how to do a hard reset on my Mcintosh MB50? I received it today but did not know how to get the Wi-Fi set up signal to blink ?

Ensure the MB50 is turned on, then simultaneously press and hold INPUT and STANDBY/ON buttons until the LEDs on the front panel begin to flash. Release both buttons, then press the STANDBY/ON button. You should be able to initiate pairing with your mobile device at that point.

Default MB50 Setup Support

If what Salamander said does not work, it may be ‘Bricked’ I did it to the one I had as a demo. Was reset by my dealer and then I could use. Let us know how it works and sounds to you. I ended up not getting it and went with a Bluesound Node 2i.

The Node 2 is excellent for the price. I have one in my second system upstairs, but it doesn't compare in sound quality to the MB50 in my main system.

jayvis glad you like, I did not find much luck with MB50, limitations with Play Fi and unable to connect to Apple. Bluesound Node 2i works well through C47 and MC462

We sell other products at stereo shop that use Play Fi where I work and not fan of Play Fi, so I avoided the MB50 because of this.

I’ve been thinking of getting an MB50 but have concerns regarding comments about the Play-Fi app. I’ve never used it so I’m wondering what is wrong with it?

Found that Play Fi dropped out intermittently MB50 would not play all Downloaded music including Apple. There were always connection issues when first booting up. Also if you were not a full subscriber to one of the streaming options it would not stream music. Example if you wanted to use Spotify you would have to have a full membership. With my full premium Tidal membership the play back of some music was inconsistent.
