No, I have not directly compared them. The 601s are in 2 channel service now, the 501s are on the sideline, waiting to be installed in surround sound system later this year (rears).

conclusion of last night's evening, with two audiophiles who know the sound 601, and we are really elsewhere with the 611. Big positive difference. especially the micro detail, and the space between the musicians, the softness, the bass ,. before I say it sounds the same, I hope you compare, in your living room. very happy with the expense

I received my family at the end of the week. They were very impressed with the sound difference. The 611 are really winning on the 601, and not subtle
I can not wait to hear more from other members who have the 611
