Yes you should go ahead -the DS "senior" is a great DAC indeed and the possibility of continually upgrading makes it all the more worthwile. Give Ivan a ring and pull the trigger

For me it's gonna take a few more days since Torres is yet to be released for the DS Junior. I've learned a lot about myself in the sense that I didn't know I had such high a patience threshold haha. It sure will be a major tweak / improvement in the end.

OMG - somebody upgraded my DAC substantially, and it didn't cost me a dime. Two nights into this and it's really really good to my ear. Just amazed - maybe there will be a tax on this in the next life.

So far the new firmware has had some believers as well as some doubters, namely citing issues with the tonal balance (bit less bass than before), and a certain loss in natural qualities to the sound -glad to see that hasn't been the case in your lovely setup.

Better quality and more transparency every time, and for free -great stuff indeed.

Got my copy of Huron today (I order them from PS Audio, that way I get the right type of SD card and they label it much better than I can, in case I want to apply an older version). I'll apply it tonight and over the next few days will report back my impressions.

I've enjoyed each of the upgrades I've applied to the DAC, having owned it nearly three years now, have applied each and every one, as soon as they become available.

Huron still sounding great here. I power cycled it and I swear it sounds better than before. But others have said the same. And apparently there are some initial load glitches on some dacs which a complete reboot fixes.

I am so glad I bought into this company.

Have Huron on my DS JR, it is different mainly more detail, tighter bass what I like is the resolving of background echoes mainly noticed on the new Beck album
