More audition time would be great but I don't see that happening based on the lack of dealers in my area. I just can't see flying out of state again for this even though that is a very good suggestion.

How much listening time did you get with the Alexia?

Ken

I had very limited access to all the speakers I listened to. I did not get to hear the Alexia. I chose to hear the others because I've never heard anything from their lines before. I am familiar with Wilson having owned them for 6 to 7 years. I have tried to find time to listen to the Alexia and have even driven by a couple of dealers in the USA who just didn't have them on display.

The Alexia sounds different than previous Wilsons, because the tweeter is completely different. If you really haven't heard an Alexia ever, please don't assume you know what it would sound like. It sounds better than that

Same with the Sasha 2, over the Sasha 1. Pretty good improvement.

I am SHOCKED that no Wilson dealers have the Alexia's on display. My dealer has had Alexia's on display continuously for the last few years! As they should.

My dealer has XLF's, X3's, Alexia's, Sasha 2, Sasha 1, Sophia 3's and Duette and Thors Hammer available for audition. Actually he has every speaker in the Sonus Faber line too.

I agree the Alexia sounds great but I attribute that to the mids and crossovers more than the tweeter. Just my two cents.

Is the X3 a new model?

I think this is why your decision is so difficult, because you haven't heard the Alexia yet. When you consider the price of these speakers, the cost of a flight to get a good listen is well worth it. I think once you hear them, your decision will become clear.

Best,
Ken

Fair enough, but the mid is the same one they've been using for a while In all their products. The tweeter is the newest component in the "Wilson sound".

I know it's more complicated than that.
