Tom has been very helpful to this member as well, and I'm glad to belatedly follow Michael in acknowledging that.

With Tom's assistance I was able to set up all the inputs, speaker distances, levels, etc... to establish a baseline.
I left the MX151 alone and just enjoyed to music. However, I still wanted the MX to perform as intended so that meant delving into RoomPerfect. After reading up on the process some I got out the microphone, stand and boom yesterday. I established my Focus 1 position and confirmed my distances with a laser measuring device. Following that I utilized my SPL meter, ran some test tones and compared those distances with the measured distances. Everything was spot on except the left rear surround which, due to my haste, had a small plant partially obscuring the speaker. I moved the plant, checked the SPL measurements and it was all good. I ran five (5) RoomPerfect tests, starting at Focus Position 1, then moving the mic around the room with each subsequent test. I achieved 96% Room Knowledge and called it good. I spent several hours listening, watching and listening some more. The results were more than satisfying in all respects including 2-channel music and 5.1 movie & TV content. From the time I knew I had to replace the MX135, through purchasing, receiving, installing, attempting initial setup and finally achieving a fully dialed in MX it has been just a week shy of 3 months. I am finally a happy camper.
