Regardless, no vibration detected using the stock stands.
My iPhone spirit level app couldn't be farther from accurate if it tried. If you're basing your decisions on a phone app then I wish you the best of luck.

"No vibration" would, I would think, be an impossibility when it comes to speakers. Perhaps the exception would be those concrete speakers you can get lol. But don't be so naive to think it's possible for the Maggies to have zero vibration. You need more sensitive equipment if you're going to ignore your ears and use measurements.

You could be on Sound Anchors and Stillpoints, you're still going to be able to measure vibrations (most likely to a lesser extent of course).

C'mon Russell cmooooooooooN!

Naive? But you're the one with an iPhone.

Wow is that your retort? Guess what, it's a phone. And guess what I use it for? To make phone calls, not to judge how much vibration my speakers are outputting.

So tell me who's being naive again?

Take it easy GT - there was no reason for you to call me naive in the first place. Let's move forward.

...now go sell that iPhone.

Russell my point is that there will always be vibrations, it's just up to our subjective ears as to what extent this will impact on our perception of sound, and whether it's significant or not. I personally have found that additional reinforcement and isolation has been beneficial.

So if you're curious for your own system, but hesitate because you can't measure any vibration, I urge you to at least give it a go and form your own conclusions.

And I'm 100% content with my iPhone, I don't wish to enter into any discussions about it.

Russell, have you tried to find someone in your area that has stands to give you a better informed basis/grounding?

Yes - no luck finding anyone close that has 20.7's with Mye Stands.

Note to GT: Just kidding about your phone.

I would assume adding to 20.7 on Mye stand would also be a fantastic event. I had mye add 1/4x20 threads also. Want to try screwing Ultra 5 to stand. This is supposed to be better according to stillpoints.

Update: Added 4th Ultra5 and screwed (not tight) into place. WOW even better. using regular stand not stealth. Flat black.
Sir,
Read your comment with great interest
I wonder if the ss would have sufficed. The ss do take a lot of weight. Your opinion on this please. ?

Where did you source the adapters between the grant stands and the stillpoints
I believe you require 5/16 for the 'Mye' stands.
Did you buy from a stillpoints dealer.
I personally feel that the adapters are stupidly priced only because they are associated with stillpoints. Otherwise they would be cheap.

Did you use a 1" length.
I know a lot of questions, but when time permits please do let message know.
Many thanks so in advance

Oh yes I have used sand bags placed on top of the speakers. They give added weight hence improvements in many places.

Been a while since I was last here. I have moved to a new house just last weekend. Been in a hotel for two months after sold old house and fixed up new one. System still down but out of storage.
The SS's will take the weight of 3.7 or 20.7. 5's work better.
I had Grant put 4/20 holes in addition to his standard 5/16 on the 3.7 stand. Used 1" length.
My major change just before moving was to get 20.7's as a retirement present to myself.
The new Mye stands have combo hole of 5/16 with insert to make it 4/20. The 20.7 sound fantastic on the Mye and 5's. Great low end that fills out the sound. Also added PS Audio BHK 300 Signature Mono's to drive them with. WOW! What an amp.
Hope to have new room set up after Christmas to really hear 20.7's in new larger room and really hear what the BHK's can do. They were great at RMAF on SONJA 1.3.
