Here is comments by Michael Fremer from the HT magazine review.
Aerial Acoustics LR5, CC5, LR3, SW12 surround speaker system | Home Theater It is the paragraph right before Set up.. He says, "... I'll just say that I bought a SW12 back then, and I've yet to hear a better sub musically or explosively." Of course this was written in 2004 but it is still high praise for a great sounding sub! |

Joe, We might have to declare this "Aerial Acoustic Day"on AA... Four people and counting are big Aerial fans! Maybe Masterlu will put a dedicated thread after all for Aerial lovers. A great choice for main speakers! The 7T's made Sterophile's Class A restricted list! A very select list of the best speakers out there today! Glad to see another Aerial fan here on AA. I have not heard the 7T's, how do you like them? Maybe one day I will get the opportunity to do so. Cheers, Jim Last edited by trek737; 04-25-2012 at 11:19 AM. |

DTB300, Where did you hear the 9's at, and what did you like best in regards to their sound? The 9's seem to be very popular among the Aerial fans, and they have a big following. I considered them the fall of 2010 to upgrade from my 7B's. Jim |

That is what I have heard! Sounds like you can not go wrong with this purchase. I know Michael Kelly is very big on his newest edition to his already great line of speakers...

Just chipping in ....
The older 10T still seem like a great buy and a great performer, even by today's standard. I have friends who still have these speakers and seriously, I can't really fault them at all. If one can find MINT used ones, they would be a great bargain to pick up, even for long term use. Thats my feel ... Cheers!

I think the 10T's were a big deal when they came out. I am not surprised to hear that people are still using them, and that they are sought after on the used market! Every once in awhile I will see a pair on Audiogon but not very often.

I'll get to hear them for the first time on Sunday. According to my friend, he's put on close to 200 hours on the speakers (supposedly Michael Kelly says that the speakers are ready for listening at around 150 hrs.) but he still needs to optimize their set-up.
