Bob, other than the speakers seems everything about your system is equal or superior to mine. I have always felt that the "money"/emphasis in a system should be on the speakers, up to a point. I have found the Alexxes easy to drive. They are more efficient than the Maxx3's and the low impedance appears to be no problem. I have identified a weakness in my connections which I have decided to remedy fairly shortly with some top-line AQ speaker cables and interconnects. I'm a Mac/Wilson aficionado. Your system would easily support an Alexx. Also thank you very much for the compliment about about my system. I try very hard not to throw money at this hobby. I am so happy that I gave up on the XLF. It was very hard to do. But I believe I have a better sounding speaker (certainly for my room) at half the price. I think the Alexx is competitive with many speakers costing a whole lot more. 109 seems expensive until your begin to look at the prices of its competitors. I think the Alexx is a really good value for the money. I think Mac a very good value for the money. You have an incredible system. One that could easily support an Alexx. I highly recommend the Alexx. Its the first speaker I am 100 percent satisfied with. I can listen to a speaker and generally discover all its flaws because I have been listening for a long time and I know what to listen for and I have the music that can really stress a speaker. The Alexx is the first speaker that not only passes all my tests. It laughs at them. "Eager" to be tested and "eager to please" is how I would describe this speaker.

Thank you all. Still some big changes in the works. Speaker cables on the way. I also now believe there will be new balanced Wel Signature IC's about 20 feet lenght. I will post pics when they arrive. Definitely the 8 foot speaker cables as they are in transit. There may also be other major system upgrades very soon.

It's official. The Well Signature IC's will be ordered. 7m plus a little bit. I'm hoping for a "free" foot. I used a string and without any tension made the measurement to the furthermost point from the preamp. That's it.
