Of all the Strads I set up, I would say probably 2/3 were in rooms similar to or smaller in size than yours.

You will not have problems with that size room. The Strads are more realistic sounding than the Elipsa, much fuller bass without bloat due to two woofers. You will find listening at lower volume levels more satisfying . The Elipsa is still a Wonderfull speaker but the Strads are better and very efficient 92 db. . Be prepared to have to see your eye doctor because you will be staring at the Strads. and won't want to blink.

I am very tempted to eventually move to a pair of Strads. My Elipsa are the SE version in violin red, so they are almost as beautiful as Strads. I normally listen at a realistic volume. I like to feel like I am in the room with the musicians. In the meantime, do you think a sub would make a worthwhile difference? I am actually very happy with my system. I am just thinking.

If you feel you will eventually move to Strads, buy them now. A sub with a proper crossover will improve the low end of your Elipsa’s but may not bring the emotion of the Strads. While they look alike, they sound different - not just the low end.

It is just not feasible right now, perhaps in a year or so. But it is something I am thinking about.

Then I would save the cost of the sub and crossover toward the Strads next year.

Just thinking is how it all starts . A sub. is an option for you but you will still end up wondering about the Strads. Keep your eye out for mint pair.
