What the what???
Last night after powering up the system in the family room, I heard a strange out of phase sound from DirecTV (MX134, MC501 center, MC402 mains, MC207 surrounds). Changed channel, same thing. Reset the Monster AV2000 then reset the MX134. Equipment is in a closet directly behind a wall mounted Samsung LED. Now with the power to the MX134 off, I still here sound from DirecTV soure. Sounds like the center channel. How could that be with the master power switch on the MX134 turned off? I reset everthing for a second time all the while thinking, no way...
Wife came in and I said listen to this. Hear how out of phase this sounds and when I turn the stereo off you still hear sound. She says, oh yes, I'm proud of myself. The power went out last night and this morning I couldn't get sound through the stereo. So I went into the menu of the TV and turned on the speakers. Problem solved. Sometimes the solution is so simple it is easily overlooked. ................... |
