Jeff, I also enjoyed the JBL L100 article. I also once owned a pair of L26 JBL's.
After I read the article, I went to Audiogon to look for a pair. Also enjoyed reading about the Tom Petty concert. I am going to see him in August.

Thanks for sharing a great magazine. Did you ever review the Burmester 069?

Hopefully, we will get the 069 by the end of the year. It is a fantastic CD player, definitely one of the best I've ever heard. The 069 is really nice because you can use it as a DAC as well.

Yes very true. I just received my 089 several days ago. I can compare it directly to the 069. It has about 85-90% of the performance. Which is a very good thing for us 'paupers". In the coming weeks I will swap out the 069 for my 089 in the exact same system and compare for us "Burmesterphiles".

Do you have an 069 now? When I had dinner with Dieter Burmester at CES, he told me that the 089 was going to be "Very Special"...
I'm a huge Burmester fan, though I only have a modest Burmester setup. (911 mk 3 amp and 011 preamp) |

Another masterpiece Jeff. Enjoyed the Tom Petty interview and EAT article.
