Just got this from Upscale on Friday. As reported, takes a while to break in.

Will post pictures soon.

Who made the best 6SN7?

My favorites in order (front position / back position)
Tungsol black glass round plate / Sylvania 6SN7 GT
Ken Rad VT231 black glass / Sylvania 6SN7 GT
Sylvania VT231 / Raytheon

Congrats on the SLP98! It's a good preamp, I had two of them before.... a non F1 and then an F1.

Joey. What's the diff in sound between f1 and non-f1. I love my non-f1.
