Not sure but are we sure the Deezer trial is 16/44.1 eg. Deezer Elite?

AJ, I have no experience with Spotify so can't compare. I do know that with a W4S Remedy between the Sonos and your DAC, you should see 24/9600 from the Remedy up sampling. Deezer Elite streams at 16/44.1.

However, I would suggest not to get too hung up on what numbers the D100 shows and focus on the service that gives you the best combination of ease of use, library of music you like, sound quality and monthly cost. In the end, this source will not be your primary but likely used to listen to new music that you might ultimately purchase for your network and primary media server. Craig

Hey Craig,
Just checked online and although it's not super quality clear - pun intended, from what I understood, Deezer via SONOS only has the Elite plan available, first free 30 days are also Elite (16/44.1). Sent Deezer an Email to confirm the above and my subscription.

It was very interesting though to hear same sound quality for Spotify and Deezer coming out of SONOS (not W4S mod) and Spotify much worse through USB laptop and Remedy; unless I'm missing something.

I use the Remedy with the SONOS into a D100 with good results. The coax is the best. I use WW Silver Eclipse cabling. It is better to get the Remedy because you can use it with other sources later. I also use the iFi with the Remedy. The unmodded SONOS does not oversample that I know of.

Interesting I did not know that tidal and deezer where the same SQ. good to know. Tidal has a fantastic jazz library.

Deeper Elite streams CD 16/44.1 quality but in the US, it is only available via the Sonos operating environment. I appreciate that is an issue for many who may not want or need a Sonos Player.

I resisted SONOS for a long time. Extremely happy I made the jump! Sounds great, looks great, discrete in comparison to other devices. Also made the switched SONOS to Subscribed to Deezer instead of Spotify which was not available on my Denon Heos Link.
$9.99 / month for first year with great music library and FLAC sound quality was a no brainer
