Thanks brothers!

I look forward to this endeavor. One last stop for the next 3-4 years if that's possible or atleast until I see the 800d4 in the flesh.

I listened to my system as it is without the 800d3 but with the 802d3 last night. Unbelievable at times. Very good for my musical tastes. The image holography is uncanny, singer literally floats at the right height and with the right palpability. There's 1 other person on this forum who has heard my system as it currently sits (Jagman) and he is the only one who understands what I'm talking about.

I would hope the 800d3 improve on just the few last inadequacies and I'm near the end of my journey to nirvana.

Congrats Joey - what did you buy your wife as a consolation prize?

Hey buddy

A new dining set.

So apparently this is costing me more than I bargained for.

Joeys current system is audio nirvana. He has worked very hard to reach said nirvana. After hearing the 800 and 802s with Joey, side by side, at the dealer in a less than ideal environment, it was clear to me the 800's were superior to the already great 802's. I can only imagine what his system will produce in his room with his components.

Coming from Jagman, a trusted friend with ears I trust, that's a lot. He has heard quite a bit from Wilson's to Rockports to BW and he owns Focal. He is right, it has taken a while to get here.

He has heard my more crude and previous system (along with Steve scirica and a couple others) that was the Cary and 802d2.

I don't think he liked them remotely like this current system anchored by the 802d3.

We heard the 800d3 and 802d3 at the dealer and we agreed while relatively the 800 was better on all parts than the 802 at the dealer, the sound coming out of both were very different than the sound I was getting in my room.

So much so that I think he was about to walk out the first 30 seconds the 800d3 played at the dealer.
