You might want to take a look at the specs of the new C22 V before you replace your C22 IV. The phono section on the older C22 has a 5 dB better s/n ratio than the newer unit which can be significant. You also lose loudness compensation. All I see that you gain is 2 dB better s/n on the high level inputs and a cosmetic change assuming you like the new cosmetics.

Thanks for the info. I actually prefer the version I have, especially the rockers, though I may look into the top case of the V. And the loudness switch is a godsend in a loft with wee ones about.

It’s worth checking out.

I also have the C22 IV and the MC275. Having followed the C22/C70/C22 evolution, I can't imagine that the preamp upgrade would be nearly as impactful as an additional MC275. But keep us posted!

Those MC611's are heavy. I had Graham's team deliver and install.

Aeron, from my experience I found 611's have very robust power supply and power cables of any quality/price did not improve the SQ.

For that matter even the power conditioner did not make difference.

Congrads on you fine system! Did Don Corby play any role on the analog side?

Don sold me an Acoustic Signature triple x turntable and mounted my Dynavector xx2 mk2,aligned with Analog magic software. I also purchased the Mp1100 from Don.Chad from Alternative audio sold me additional Shunyata cirrus xlrs to go with the Pythons for the amps and some Cardas neutral ref for the rest of the hook up.
I have to ask Banter are you Yogi.??
