An excellent match, Accuphase and the Vivid Audio G4 Giya.
Ample power.
'Graceland' (Paul Simon) sounded oh so nice.
Deep powerful bass, and real auditory acuity!
Very musical.

We compared the G4 with the B1 Decade.
I was surprised about the difference.
The B1 was a bit more direct, more in your face.
Might be better for rock lovers who prefer a little more aggressive sound.
I found the G4 more relaxed, a bit more natural.
The G4 is 2K more than the B1.

It was the B1 that made me fall in love with Vivid Audio.
The Decade is a worthy successor.
The bass, that was already good, has even improved.
But do audition the G4 if you're shopping in the price segment.

The African Room: T+A R-series (amp + DAC/Network-Client) & Vivid Audio V1.5

A lot of people were surprised at how good this little system sounded.
Crystal clear, good soundstage, and a good amount of accurate bass (they do go down to 40 Hz).
T+ A R-series: the 2 components at 5K each are a bargain in hifi land!

I remember our first encounter with Vivid - Laurence Dickie had brought the B1 to the New Music HiFi Show in Brussels - they sounded real good.
Those were early days... the G2 weren't even launched.

It was also the first time we heard Laurence Dickie giving a presentation.
Already then he gave a good show (it was the first time I heard a captivating speaker on High End Audio). Needless to say we were listening attentively and Dic in his open and friendly manner told us afterwards that he was happy to see us both so interested (- and how often the wives are just sitting next to their significant other patiently waiting for the end of the presentation) ... He was very accessible and we spent quite some time talking.

The little amp delivers 2x100W into 8 Ohms, and doubles this into 8 Ohms.
The music player has a tuner, streamer, DSD/PCM-DAC and handles all current download formats.

The finish on the smallest of the Vivid range was matte.

Total cost of this system 17K.
Add a few decent cables and you have a terrific system!
