Agree with these posts. Checking the neutral to ground bonds is important.
If you have a meter you can check the two phases coming into your house relative to neutral. They should be very close or identical (with nothing running). If not, you could have a neutral problem.

Curtis.......Good catch. NEC tells us where an AC system is connected to a grounding electrode (ground rod) in a building structure, the same electrode shall be use to ground conductor enclosures and equipment in or on that building or structure. The sub-panel is a branch circuit of the service entrance panel and must be grounded to the service entrance panel and the same grounding electrode shall be used.

The NEC goes on to say that two or more grounding electrodes that are effectively bonded together shall be considered as a single grounding electrode system in this sense. This means if two or more ground rods are bonded together with the correct size grounding electrode conductor, the two grounding electrodes are considered to be a single grounding system. If a separate ground rod is to be connected, usually driven into earth within 6 feet of the main ground rod, the two ground rods must be bonded together. For a typical 200 amp service (2/0 or 3/0 service entrance conductor size), the ground wire size to bond the two ground rods should be no smaller than #4 copper.

Keep in mind that local codes may have additional requirements that could possibly be more stringent than the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Puget Power came out and replaced the meter in the morning now a wind storm came and fell a tree onto the power line behind my home at the guy down the street and now we have a neighborhood power outage [emoji22]

Is there anything out there that has replaced the Humbuster? I believe (95%) I have some DC transformer noise. I have a P10 and one of those of those flux capacitor things on the amplifier. The problem comes and goes and changes with the amplifier I have hooked up at the time. I'm sure the Christmas lights all over the place don't help. I do NOT have a dedicated line. I would put one in if I knew it work 100%. But until such time, I don't want to risk the wrath of the wife. That would be bad....very bad.
