McIntosh MA230 , thoughts??

I am starting to research putting together a vintage system. What do you think of the McIntosh MA230 integrated tube/SS amp?

I was also thinking of pairing with the Klipsch KG4.

It will be for strictly turntable listening in a small room, I mainly listen to blues, soul, rock, and alternative so not much power needed.

Thoughts, any advice is appreciated.

I had my father's MA230 stored for decades not being used and not having any plans to use it, I gave it to someone we all know who I knew would treat it lovingly and give it a good home.

It's a great choice for a small vintage system.

It's a solid state preamp and tube amp section.

Treat it like a pure tube device. It needs sufficient air for cooling.

Joe.......Thanks to Gary I am the fortunate soul who inherited Gary's father's McIntosh MA230. Terry DeWick restored it for me at his Tennessee home and it now makes wonderful music driving my JBL 4312A speakers.
