Help - no surround / centre sound
Hi guys
For the past few days my centre speaker / rear speakers have no sound coming out from them. This is really weird as everything seemed to be working fine until a few days ago - other than changing a few power cables around to experiment I haven't really changed anything. My teen son said he hasn't hit any buttons (as far as he knows)... Basically I have my c2500 set to bypass mode for HT with my 452 driving fronts - the fronts and sub woofer are playing fine. My centre and rears are connected to a Yamaha cxa5100 which I use as my processor. I've checked all the settings in my Yamaha and Oppo (connected via HDMI) and all looks in check - now it's starting to do my head in!! Has anyone experienced this before or have any suggestions as to what to look for? I'd absolutely love some help to fix this!! Thanks in advance Jamie. |

If not the trigger cable make sure the power cord is connected to the Yamaha cxa5100 and what ever amp you are using for the rear and center.

As stated already, make sure you check all power cords to your HT equipment, the pre-pro and the amps. also check all your output connections from pre-pro to amplifier. Another thing you might try before anything would be to go into the pre-pro menu where the test signal is created and see if you can send a successful test signal to all required speakers. Otherwise a microprocessor reboot might do the trick. You may unfortunately lose all your preferences, settings, etc. Edward

Thanks gents for your responses - the problem is fixed!
It would seem that when I was moving the power cords around I must have removed the trigger from the MC205 and inserted the trigger back but into the Zone B port rather than Zone A. Special thanks to doggiehowser on the trigger tip! |
