I and I knows dem jamaican patois, me glad fer you have dat duppy conqueror.

Loosely translated; Jolly good show, I'm glad that the ghosts in your previous hi fi which stopped you hearing the full meaning are defeated, and you are now hearing things clearly to their full effect.

I grew up in a white/jamaican neighborhood.

The S1200 will be my first processor with HDMI. I am looking forward to playing with the Krell EQ.
Did you get it yet?

Jeff,

Have not received the S1200 yet. It's taking a bit longer because I also ordered a couple amps as well. Maybe best week.

Jeff,

I read that review. It's too bad the S1200 didn't get more reviews.

I spoke to Krell today and it's shipping late next week. I had briefly considered the EVO 707 but I have spent way too much on audio this year. Maybe next year .

Hello Diug and Jeff,

Well, I just picked up the Krell S1200 and the S275 amps a few hours ago. I just hooked it up for two channel music tonight and have finished listening to a couple of songs. I won't have time to wire it for HT until Saturday.

First impression on two channel is that the S1200 is very clean, detailed and has very deep bass. It's significantly better than the Parasound P7 for music. I know you want to know how it stacks up against the ARC REF 5 SE. I will do a comparison on Saturday. I am pretty sure the S1200 has deeper bass than the Ref 5se.

So far I like what I am hearing with the Krell S1200, Evolution 403E and Revel Salon 2. I will give an update once it's setup for HT.

Thanks for your patience.

Great to hear it's finally onboard, and thanks so much for giving us the quick update! Sounds like it's "so far, so good," but can't wait for the full report. I'm very interested in 1) how it compares as an analog preamp to the Ref5se, 2) how it's DACs compare to the OPPO DACs (digital vs analog inputs), and 3) how it sounds in HT. BTW, what pre/pro did you use previously for HT?

I have been vascillating like crazy, but now really coming down to the Krell S1200 or the Bryston SP3. Mac MX150 just too expensive and too limited (no analog passthrough), Arcam av888 and Cary C12 have too many problems, and Classe SSP-800 runs very hot, which i dont want.

Thanks for the update, and look forward to your continued impressions. My OPPO 95 and Salon 2s are waiting for your advices. No pressure, but my entire decision making process is hinged on your review, lol
