The X1 looks very interesting with a DSLR-size sensor. This is perhaps the most expensive point-and-shoot camera to date!

I agree, $2k for a point and shoot seems out there...but some would say more than $1k for speakers is crazy...guess you have to see the value in it. I will be interested to read some more about the X1 once reviewers or end users start to get them in their hands.

I am a long-term Leica M-series fan. In a way they seems like a throwback to a different age. The image quality is superb and the overall feel of the camera is outstanding. I love the barely-audible sound of the shutter.
