The Bryston App is better.

I found another app in the app store that apparently works. I haven’t downloaded it yet.

Gbaby - While the Bryston interface works, it works best via laptop. I hate having my laptop around my listening room. I have a dedicated iPad that doesn’t have any email accounts, and it’s not tied to my iCloud so I don’t get text messages. It allows me to get away from work. If I bring my laptop in, I inevitability start working.

What? Mine works with all laptops, iPads and iPhone. Its the only way to use the
BDP-2.

Phishphan, do you have wifi? Its all you need. I notice you own the BDA-3. Well, the Bryston app controls it too.

You control it by logging in to the BDP via the local web address, right? The BDP.local.... whatever it is?

So it’s a web interface, not an actual app. Right?

Its an app. At least that's what I thought it was. It has all the controls for the BDP-2 and it can change the inputs for the BDA-3. It truly is all you need. In addition, you can make playlists and access radio stations built in the BDP-2.

Gbaby - have you ever tried Roon? I switched over a few weeks back. It’s the best interface for the BDP2.

Are you paying for it?

I get my music the old fashion way; buying it. The habit goes back to the Record Bar days and I guess its an addiction. Since, I own the BDP-2, I buy even more music. I import them in .aff uncompressed files and the sound is even better than the original CD. I am sure Roon is fine, but I'm fine too. The music sounds superb.
