wouldn't mind pulling.. on those dainty cables.... the resulting squeals... might just make them naysayers into believers....

Exactly.

I use Audioquest without expectation of more than visual and sensural improvement. I expect a more secure connect and termination which simply means it should be physically more resolute.

Like a preamp, all a wire can do is not cause degridation in the sound.

I try to let people see an analogy when they wan't to bring up no gain in performance, bash over cost and all the blah blah blah.

Presentation and the affects of our other senses on each other. A plate of food will taste great when the cheff arranges it in a manner that's pleasing to the eye. The same food if arranged like a pile of shit, well will taste like a pile of shit because that's what we see.

Perhaps the problem with this analogy is the food would taste the same regardless of the high-tech construction and material of the plate (I tread lightly on exactly what material is used but allow me a bit of leeway here to make a valid point). It seems the data would be the food and the plate would be the delivery system.

You may have missed the point of our senses working together. How we hear, see, smell, taste and touch work together. So a debat as to using a device to gauge hearing alone doesn't work well.

That is psuedo science; i.e. nonsense.
