I've had a 1 meter pair of red dawn interconnects since 1999 or so. Up until about an hour ago (literally) they were connected between my Invicta DAC and DNA Stratus headphone amp, and have served me very well indeed.

I need to determine where to put them as I now have a brand spanking new pair of Wireworld Platinum Eclipse 7 IC's between the DAC and HP Amp. Just received them via Fedex today.

I'll probably put the red dawn's between my CD player and second pair of inputs on the Stratus.

Im a committed Nordost user- Red Dawn throughout apart from the Tuner interconnect which is Blue Heaven. 1 power cord is a Shiva (Wife hates the Shiva's Purple colour & well not let me buy anymore!- Our HiFi resides in the lounge.)

Red Dawn replaced MIT cabling (which had replaced Audioquest).

I found that Nordost produced a subjectively faster, cleaner, balanced sound, without emphasising the upper treble.

The MIT cables I used earlier were veiled in comparison & the Audioquest became 'shouty' when the volume was increased.

Auditioned Cardas & Wire World as well. Both had their strengths & weaknesses, but felt that Nordost provided the best balance.

Looking to up-date to Heimdall in the future.

Default Nordost Fan

I am a huge Nordost fan as well. I have had a full Valhalla loom and with the right equipment it is astounding. I also had the Valkjyra, I hope that is spelled correctly, and it as very good as well. They lean a little to the cool side so if you have someone that likes a warm relaxed presentation it may not be their cup of tea.

I would like to share my bad expirience with Nordost. I wanted to reterminate The Nordost Odin, 3 m xlr cable, that was bought from official dealer, to a different length, in factory, of course. So, I contacted them, and got the answer that they do not do this, on Odin cables?! So, currently I am selling that cable threw one dealer,at a fraction of a cost, and would never buy a new cable from them, as I dont see the point, if the factory would not stand behind its customers.

All power cables from Audience adeptResponse aR8 (UK version) are Nordost Vishnu. I am gradually moving my interconnect loom to Chord.

I have almost complete set of Heimdall 2 cables, power- and loudspeaker cables. Made a difference in my system of Densen and Audio Physic Tempo 25

Attach a picture from before they was hooked up ;-)

I would like to try a Valhalla loom but don't want to have to buy them just to try them.

I'm about to trial a Frey 2 power cord as input to my Audience power conditioner, compared to Audience's own PC. The dealer also suggested I try a second hand (or maybe ex demo) Valhalla 1, which will be more expensive, but in the same ballpark price wise.

Any thoughts how the Valhalla is likely to compare? One thing I liked from reviews on the Series 2 range is that they have more "weight" compared to the previous generation, which is a step in the right direction for my tastes. I don't really want to confuse myself with too many options, but if the Valhalla 1 gets a big thumbs up here, then maybe...

Ive listened to the Valhalla Speaker Cables & Power cords (not interconnects)- absolutely blew me away- the best cable Ive heard by some distance- (used Heimdall interconnects for the demo)

If I had the $ it would be Valhalla for me :-)
