Default audio desk squeegee drip fix

One side of my lp's have drops of water on them after the drying cycle. I could see a space between the squeegee and the lp. I cut a straight piece of coat hanger wire and inserted it slowly and gently on the backside of the squeegee (there is actually a space as the backside is shaped like a v} forcing it forward. Now the squeegee makes contact and there are no more drops. The wire was bent at a right angel and cut to give it a handle making it easier to insert.
I wonder if the coat hanger wire will rust or not. Any recommendations on a similar wire that will not rust?

rlw.......Yes, the coat hanger will rust. None the less, that is a good idea for the adjustment of the squeegee. I would look for a length of stainless steel wire of the same dimension to replace the coat hager with.

There's a lot of places you can get it from. I checked a few wire hangers with a gauge, and it came up with the majority at 14 ga. So I'd go with a google search for 14 ga stainless steel wire and see what you come up with.

I use plastic zip ties cut to length, stuck behind the squeegee. One for each side. Works like a charm.

I haven't experienced any of these water droplet issues.... Do they relate to washing pizza cutter thin LPs? Or is it that you may have overfilled? Or you are touching the rollers upon LP extraction?
