New MA252 Integrated Amp

Hi all. New to the forums and would love some advice/feedback.

I recently picked up Revel f208 speakers and an MA252 amp. While I do have the hiss mentioned in the thread, I do not believe it is significant. What I am experiencing quite often is that the power guard on the right channel is going off fairly regularly at fairly normal power/sound levels (e.g., 45-60% volume, <80db). It is mostly happening on one channel and my dealer is not-optimistically sending me 2 new tubes to see what happens. Is the 100 watts insufficient for these speakers?

I absolutely love the McIntosh tube preamp/ss amp combo sound (and the MA252 in particular). My dream is to get a c2600/452 combo, although that is significantly more expensive. If the MA252 just doesn't like my speakers, is it worth the significant financial stretch to get the 2600/452 combo? My dealer is also offering me an MA8900 at a good price - I'm just not sure fully ss is worth it.
