Jessica Jones

I'm looking for a new series to enjoy and stumbled across Jessica Jones.

Really enjoying it. I'm tired of the saturated super hero genre, but this one is fresh and different.

Jessica is a deeply flawed and occasionally slutty alcoholic super hero working as an average private investigator.

There are others like her, and she is discovering them as she follows her nemesis... A man who uses mind control to make others do his dirty work.

She's bisexual, too, and quite cute

It all makes for an interesting alternative twist on the traditional super hero genre.

I'm only 3 episodes in... And there is only one season. But another is coming next year.

Anyone else a fan?

I was extremely satisfied watching this as it is not the typical storyline or set of characters.

I had no previous knowledge of the show or its origins so I started to watch based on someone's opinion that I hold in high regard.

I can't speak for others, but I suggest you watch a few episodes to see if you find it satisfying (as I did). I also liked it was brief, and it seemingly reached a (temporary ?) endpoint.

Btw... I said she was bisexual, but I think I had that wrong. There is a lesbian couple in the story, not involving Jessica. There's also several mentions of Jessica's history with Trish, but I think that's her sister, not an ex.

I have been waiting for Season 2 for some time now.

I finished the season today and it was great. Really enjoyed the characters and the writing. I'm going to watch Luke cage and the defenders. Those are spinoffs of Jessica Jones.

I'm also going to watch daredevil, I heard it's very good.
