Default Devil’s Spit Marinade

Hello. Traditionally my family enjoys a “cook out” with the grill the day after Thanksgiving. This year we plan to grill some prime cuts and use a very spicy marinade that my wife has concocted over the years that she calls the “devil’s spit marinade.” I thought that I would share the quick and easy recipe with the forum and hope that you all may enjoy...

Devil’s Spit Marinade

Ingredients:

1. Half cup Worcestershire sauce
2. Half cup A-1 Bold & Spicy steak sauce (with Tabasco version)
3. 1 Tablespoon minced onion
4. Half teaspoon minced garlic
5. 1 Teaspoon cayenne pepper (powder)
6. Half teaspoon crushed red pepper
7. Half teaspoon black pepper
8. 1 Lime
9. Optional - - - 2 Habanero peppers finely chopped

Preparation:

Use a large bowl for mixing. Pour Worcestershire and A-1 sauces into the bowl. Add the onion, garlic, cayenne powder, red pepper, black pepper, and optional habanero peppers. Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the bowl. Mix thoroughly. Pour the marinade carefully into an extra large Ziplock freezer bag. Add up to 4 steaks into the bag. Seal, shake thoroughly and put the bag into the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours... Grill to your liking!!!

Enjoy

Yes sir very enjoyable. My teenage son had 2 steaks and my wife and myself 1 each. A salad and steamed veggies for the full meal. We finished off the remaining pumpkin pie from Thanksgiving for our dessert. BTW, before you add the steaks and marinade to refrigerate in the baggies, stab your steaks a dozen or so times with a fork so that the marinade will really soak in.

Regards

Thanks for the tip, will definitely try it next time I grill some steaks. Getting colder in the NE but I still grill even in the winter.
