You can clearly hear the better result of those Tannoy with the 10W Shindo SET. The dynamic contrast and harmonic sweetness is much more evident as the amp/speaker are a better match.

In the end the 6dB less efficient Tannoy Sandringham SE proved to be a better partner still with the Shindo 10W SET amp over the much more efficient Canterbury SE. The Shindo SET sounded much more open, image density and palpability factor increased greatly. There was finally "meat" on the bones of the Musial skeleton. The amp was being "worked" and it liked it!

I once had my ARC SP-14 with ARC Classic 120 monoblocks. Borrowed a pair of the big Jeff Rowland monoblocks from Brooks Berdan (RIP) to audition for a few days. They were powering Martin Logan Sequel II's. Talk about authority and slam from those speakers! The only holdback was the midrange which at that time was not exactly what I needed. The newer Rowland models I would think paired with ARC would be no issue depending on your particular musical tastes.
