I last ran the stock REF 6 cord last year, and back then the overall system wasn't performing at the level it is now (did a couple big upgrades later on, including the cords). Still I felt the WEL NRG itself was a nice improvement over stock, and went with that for a while - I got a huge discount off the NRGs' retail by buying from a guy upgrading to Dragons.

The power cords were a game changer for me . I don’t believe in them and was using the stock power cord w/ my ARC REF 610T , 5SE and Phono 2SE. A friend of mine lent me a pair of Shunyata King Cobra CX for my REF 610’s and Synergistic Research Tesla Precision Power Cord for the 5SE and 2SE and it levellled up the performance of my system. It was an eye opener for me . It was’nt subtle . Try Shunyata’s and Synergistic Research .
Even my sister who was skeptic regarding power cords was surprised by the effect of the Shunyata Anaconda Alpha Helix in her ARC REF 150 and REF 6 linestage .

I was a non-believer in power cords until I tried a Shunyata Alpha HC. That cord changed my mind. I now run 2x Alpha HCs (Pre and amp), Delta NR on the Uptone JS-2 power supply for my DAC and a Alpha NR for my Niagara 5000.

You have a cool,smart sister.
Quality power cords have a very significant effect on sound quality-I find it hard to understand the naysayers.

I believe in it now but I don’t know why . The effect for me is greater than replacing interconnect cables . I hope somebody can explain it to us in layman’s term .
