I finally was able to get the Pics off my wife's camera from last weeks McIntosh event.

Finger prints, my pet peeve. Also stock powercords on most if not all there equipment. How can they sell or state Transparent is what you should buy if they don't use it/demo it on there own equipment? Even the 501's and 2301's had stock power cables. hmmmm, voodoo or snake oil? If they believed in it, wouldn't they show it? maybe even an a/b comparison. 1 501 stock power and 1 501 with a transparent power cable so you can hear the difference. Not trying to start any problems, just and observation. It's the same in most hi-end stores i've visited.

This was a McIntosh demo. They were not going to do comparisons of someone else's product. They did use all Transparent interconnects and speakers cable.

I doubt there will be any comparisons at this weeks Transparent showing either.

I know, but the power cables were stock as it is on most there amps. If transparent wants me to empty my wallet and are confident in there product they will allow me to conduct a a/b comparison. We all listen before buying. No one buys blindly.

Ask Larry to lend you a power cable to try out.

Jim beat me to it. Sounds like you were there during a presentation? Why not come back some other quiet time when the dealer can accomodate your needs a little better.

At the presentation I can speak directly to the Transparent rep instead of a salesperson. It is strange that they use the OPUS I.C. and Speaker wire, yet use stock power cords on their equipment. McIntosh 501's, 2301's, mcd500, all equipment, etc. Curious minds wanna know why there not showing off their power cords. I bet Ivan uses his WireWorld power cords with his equipment.

I can tell you that the Reference Power Cords had as much or more impact on my system than the speaker cables or interconnects.
