Default AC outlet

Now that I've sold my R1 and WPC-Z, I'm looking for an alternative.

Some possible candidates:
First combo -
Furutech GTX-D
FURUTECH
Furutech GTX Wall Plate
FURUTECH
Furutech 104-D
FURUTECH

Second combo -
Maestro outlet and Maestro wall cover

Third option -
Wattgate 381 Ag/Rh

Curious what it was about the R1 that didn't work out for you.

It's nice, especially with the WPC-Z wall plate. I guess I'm just looking for a change.

Go with the GTX-D.

You'll be very happy.

Thanks guys. Did you get the R or G version? I heard the R version needs very long (~600hrs) burn in time.

I'm with Noah.

I just installed the Furutech GTX-D (gold) receptacles in my two dedicated lines (the Silver Circle 5se PLC also uses them). Holy crap! These receptacles made a bigger difference in the sound of the system than changing a component. No way I was prepared for the degree of improvement! Sure I expected a decrease in the system's noise floor and an increase in resolution but the change in dynamics (like the system is just getting more juice), bass extension and linearity, less hash in the upper octaves as well as more extension there too was shocking. The ART amplifiers sound like 500 wpc amps now.

These babies lock onto the AC plug and just don't want to let go. None of that annoying drooping with heavy PCs!

I was previously using some of Jim Weill's/Sound Application cryogenically treated AC receptacles.

Like Myles, I went with the Gold to match the Furutech plug on my SCA 5.0SE PC.

I could hear the improvement right away and it seems to settle in after 2-3 days.

These outlets make everything else look and feel like toys.

I think I'll go for the Rhodium for my Shindo and SF system. It should fit well.
