i've been rather underwhelmed by Maestros outlet's build quality.
currently have 5 x [R1 + WPC-Z] & 1 x [Maestro + WPC-Z]. all on dedicated lines with a Isoclean ZeroOhm breaker panel.

the Furutech GTX outlets seem interesting but i've never tried them...

Thank you my friends. The Furutech GTX-D (R), Wall Plate, and 104D have been ordered!

Default Maestro vs. Furutech GTX-D Gold AC Outlets

Hi

Am considering the 2 outlets Maestro and Furutech GTX-D Gold. I realise the Furutech costs substantially more. I will be plugging a Krell FPB power amp and into one outlet of the duplex and an Oyaide MTB 6 with SWO DX Ultimo outlets into the other. Power cords are Triode Wire Labs.

At the moment I am using regular UK outlets with a Wireworld Aurora 5.2 into the Oyaide MTB-6 as the Wireworld is the only cable I have with a UK plug.

I am generally happy with the sound except for some sibilance in the leading edge of notes and would like a full bodied, organic sound which is NOT slow, thick or bloated. Treble extension is sufficient at the moment. I don't know how much of this sibilance is due to the Wireworld cable as that is probably the weakest link and I have no means of testing that. I gather so far based on reading that the GTX-D is fuller sounding and the Maestro is more neutral - that's all I have found.

I am not much of a power tweaker and hopefully will only do this once.

Your experience with these outlets much appreciated.

Thanks

I purchased a new ARC system and have not received all components yet, giving me time to figure out the best way to power all of the components. For the ARC REF equipment, I ordered the Sain power cords based on rave reviews. When I talked to Chris Sain, he said get the Furutech R if I am getting the reference power cords, and the Furutech G to match his less expensive (but certainly pricey) power cord. I was under the impresson that the difference between his less expensive cord and the stock cord was way more dramatic than the difference between his great cord and his ultimate cord, so I went with the non-reference. The point being that my advice was to pick the R vs G based on the power cord being used. Also, my plan is to use 10-2 romex instead of 12-2 even though 12-2 is supposed to be adequate for 20AMP circuits, and the plan is to make sure the electrician knows to have the circuit for the amplifiers and the other circuit for the remaining equipment same phase with dedicated grounds. Hopefully, that will work out well.

I have both GTX-D G and GTX D R one for each 220v/20A circuit.
this way I can tune sound in 4 possible ways.
At this moment, Gold serve power amp, Rhodium serve source.
R1 grip too tight and sound very powerful and bright with strong bass.
GTX sound more gentle.

I use Oyaide R1 February 1st, for my power Krell KAS-2, and the other a Furutech GTX-R to feed my Shunyata Triton, they also put aluminum frame and carbon cap Oyaide, I remained fabulous!
