When you plug in the headphones I believe you may choose to listen to only headphones (turn off Output 1 and/or Output 2) but you can also have the amps playing while the headphones are connected (turn on Output 1 and/or Output 2).

Cheers,
Chris

On the C2300/C22 60th. Does the headphones output run through the tubes stage or is it just a solid state chip? Do any of the tube preamps use the tubes for headphones output too? Perhaps the schematics will show, but I don't have one.
The headphone amp section uses a solid state circuit. All current models work in that fashion.

Cheers,
Chris

You are welcome. I hope it stays manageable or I'll need the knees of a flamingo to start kicking myself!

Chris.......This is a great idea, and much appreciated.

Regarding the MCD1100 USB firmware update, how will the new softwate be loaded into the MCD1100?

I anticipate it to be via the USB connector from a Mac or PC and should be pretty simple.

This is great!

I believe the MX150 and MX151 cannot bypass the DSP and all analog inputs go through the digital channels. Is this correct?

Does the MX121 have a true analog only path? If it does have an analog path, can the LFE channel work when using it?

You are correct about the MX150 in that it does A/D and D/A for all sources, including the 7.1 Input. This is definitely a rare feature but the benefit is that Room Perfect can still be used with the 7.1 Input.

On the MX121 you can take any analog signal and keep it out of the digital section by using either the Direct or Pure Direct mode. Either way your left and right speakers become full range, there are no crossovers, no distance settings, etc.

Cheers,
Chris
