Dan,

The AR stuff IEC is a 20 A connector like the RGPC 400. I don't think it is necessary, that's just how they do it. My PP2000 is as well.

For what it's worth, I use a Crystal Cable Ultra, removed the 15amp connector and put on a Furutech 20 Amp Rhodium connector.

I also use Shunyata for my ARC gear. I have the Black Mamba CX HC for the amp, CX for the Pre and DAC. Very happy with results.

I would try the King Cobra by Shunyata. I use these cables on a fairly high end headphone system and can hear the difference. It's a bit pricey, but nothing is too good for your ARC.

I have the ARC REF40 with Anaconda Shunyata and noticed the difference.

Are you using Shunyatta or transparent IC/Speaker cables? If transparent, any reason why you chose to mix and match?

I switch speaker cables between Nordost Valhalla and Transparent Ultra. I have Rivercable ICs (lower priced) right now. Will change my ICs when I decide which speaker cable to stick with for the long run.

My plan is too have a similar sytstem with the Lamm1.2R's matched with ARC REF 5 (maybe the REF40 in the longer term) and the Sasha's, hence the question.

My initial thought was to run transparent cables across the board, but i am really intrigued by the Shunyatta line as well, especially their power cables.

Hi,
I used Anaconda Cx with Ref 40 .then I tried Transparent Powerlink MM2.
And settled with Oyaide Tunami GPX. used Shunyata 15A>20A adaptor.
Right now I am trying Running Spring HZ with it and I think I like it the most.
Guess I am buying this RSA cable. It has gold plated 20A Furutech plugs.
