Shes a beauty!

I have a MT2 about two weeks now. Before that i had a Clearaudio Performance DC turntable.

For my system (MA9000 integrated amp) the MT2 with the Sumiko Blue Point cartrige fits better.
I use the MC input with 1000ohm. With this setting i get a very strong and full sound of my vinyl records.

For me the MT2 fits perfect!

That's not a detachable headshell in the photos of the MT2, is it? Hard to tell.

MT2 from a Clearaudio Performance DC? Isn’t that a downgrade? How does the new Mac compare. I would be surprised if you found the Mac better?

Overall i like the MT2 better! Why? Maybe the Sumiko Blue Point plays stronger.....the MT2 is also well made especially in comparison to the Peformance DC.

The MT2 has more bass and plays a bit louder. The seperation of the instruments is easier to follow!

OK maybe it has also something to do with it glows green

The MT2 is my first turntable, so hard for me to compare to others. But, I replaced my Blue Point with a Hana SL and the difference has been amazing. The Hana has been better in every aspect.

I have a clearaudio Concept Wood with the top of the line Hana MC cart as well. It outclasses my table for sure but great sounds from this modest rig. I might upgrade to a MT5 one day but I am convinced the MT2 wouldn’t be a big enough leap from where I am for dough.

Isn’t the MT2 based on the clearaudio concept anyway? I might be very wrong.

It certainly is beautiful. Makes me wonder if the initial attraction to the green glow of the MT5 or MT10 would wane over time ?
