How much room for a tt?

David.......Now that the wires have been concealed, your system is looking very attractive. I can see why Howie is interested in the concept. The room looks very comfortable, too. What a nice place for listening to a great system.

Serge , You are right about the vibration with heavy bass, I have taken some measures to reduce it much less than before. Since you were over, some rigidity was added when more heavy duty support was added to hold the weight of all the equipment ie the shelves and walls of the cabinet are double thick and 2 x 4 braces were added behind the wall unit to try and make it vibrate less. I also added more insulation in the wall. I know it is still far from the ideal as the shelves are still pretty empty, however I have not noticed much of a problem.

Dan and Howie, Thanks for the complement it has been a fun project that has evolved over the last year . Many thanks to your input as well as Serge, Alberto, Ivan and many others. I am much less of a skeptic then before. I have not used the green magic marker on my cd's yet
