Default Maxx'x have arrived

The installation went perfectly. Having owned some really large speakers in the past helped. I also had thoroughly read the OM and had a very good idea about placement. Turned out to be very close to my calculations: 9.25' between the tweeters and ear height of 36" and a lenght of 10'11" from the tweeters to the ears with proper toe in. I already knew the zone of neutrality and knew that I wanted the rear of the speaker to be a little less than 3' from the rear wall (just as the OM suggests). The key is to set the listening position beforehand and dial the speaker to the listening position. Since I have had many speakers of different varieties in this room I know the room very well. Bottom line: the Maxx is a room friendly speaker so speaker positioning was not difficult. The dealer was amazed at the ease of installation because I had it all thought out beforehand, including masking tape of the floor marking where I thought the speaker should be placed. The sound is amazing. I'll have many pics to post and specific comments about the sound upcoming. I know there are very few novices on this website but I thought it reasonable to describe the thought that went into the installation. You make it easy for the dealer by giving him multiple places to stage the unloading that is protected and dry. Then store the crates very carefully in a safe dry secure area. By making the task extremely easy for the dealer, their energies can be focused on not damaging the speaker. The grills are on, the music is fantastic, I have not yet touched the Maxx's.
