Hello Debby!
Photos from the birth of you speakers! Great!!! In the nieneties you could go to Stuttgart in Germany the day your car/Mercedes (only the bigger ones?!) was built and look at the production process. Quote:
Well... if you want a big speaker then try the Maxx! The produced sound picture will be taller with the Maxx. This is important for a big choir or a big orchestra. You have already run a big speakers in your room. If this was O. K., then the Maxx will perform well, too. My warnings because of the small room with the a-frame ceiling are still existing. But refering to the a-frame ceiling Debby has destroyed my doubts. She/Wilson Audio has more practical experience with that ceiling shape. You should however be aware that your room is the very, very minimum or limit for such a large speaker. Best regards! Friedrich Last edited by Friedrich; 11-29-2011 at 08:04 PM. |

Lildeb888, Does the obsidian black cost more? Can't afford anymore than the standard colors. If not then I'll definitely go with the osidian black on your recommendation. Otherwise its black. The order should be placed no later than Friday of this week, really I expect on Thursday. I think my room can handle the Maxx based on what you and Friedrich have described. The ceiling is heavily blown acoustic and the room is very well damped without being excessively dead. There is zero slap echo and as I mentioned imaging has never been a problem with any speaker. I will appreciate pictures so much. It's my biggest purchase ever and I'm very excited about it.

The four "Standard Colors" (which there is no extra charge for) are: Desert Silver, Mercedes Silver, Dark Titanium, and Diamond Black. Then there are 12 "Upgrade Colors" which is a little extra from the Standard colors (Obsidian Black is one of the "Upgrade Colors"). Then there are "Custom Colors" which is any color you can think of, and Wilson color matches and which is also extra from the Upgrade color. You really can't go wrong with Black, or any of the standard colors really. (I personally use one of the standard colors in my home system - it's all Desert Silver! ) Make sure to email me (at debby@wilsonaudio.com) which dealer you are working with, and the estimated ship date your dealer gives you so I can make sure keep track of your system as it goes through production (and get some photos for you!) I already have a photo or 2 for someone else here on AA... Debby |
