Default Are my sashas fully broken in.

I have over 400 hours on my speakers. 80% at very low levels, the rest moderate to loud. Can I expect more out of them?. I have been told they are fully broken in anywhere from 200-1000 hours of play.

Hello!

Corresponding to my experience that should be enough.
16 days playing day and night and thereof more than three day at higher levels.
1000 hours sound to much hours.
Maybe 1 or 2 two days at higher level additonal... but not 500 -1000 hours.

Best regards!
Friedrich

I broke in my Sophia 3s in a similar fashion, after around 400 hours of low level music being played through them they started to sounds really good, however, there was still a marked improvement over the next couple of hundred hours after playing them at higher volumes.

I feel that there is room for improvement still. I listen at low levels mostly so the opportunity to push watts through them are limited. I think louder levels is necessary to break the drivers in. Also I use transparent reference mm2 cables and they also require several hundred hours of break in according to my dealer.

Mine have about 1300 hours and just this week I have been playing them really loud and they are getting smoother still
I feel you need to hit them pretty hard to get them broken in.
Turn them up and leave the house for a few hours.....for a few days!

I agree that getting the woofers moving allows them to have more excursion. Playing at low levels keeps them too rigid. When I had 802ds the magic number was 1000 hours. That being said I think the wilsons will be a similar number along with the cables. I have made too many system changes in the past where parts of the system were not fully broken in, not allowing the full potential of the sound. Im keeping my systems current set up for a while to see the final synergy. I wish they would stop making new gear for a while

I really feel the greatest improvement is in the tweeter although it could be total integration of all the drivers.

I just did some calculations and to my ear my Sasha's really came into their own at about
1800 hours, which was a few weeks ago.
