I had 1m WW Silver Electras connected to my 601's and liked the sound. I recently purchased 2m WW Silver Electras from mdkim here on AA and like them better. I didn't think 1m would make a differance but it did to my ears.

2.0M for power cords is the rule of thumb.

Just curious why WW would even make a shorter cable if you require the 2m for it to do its job correctly?

Obviously the two possible explanations that readily come to mind are that the manufacturers are greedy and don't care and/or the minimum lengths are BS....choices are not mutually exclusive either . Me, I'm too lazy and dumb so I just write the checks for the "recommended" lengths... |

Options, options, options. Not everyone is so cable friendly as many of us here at AA and will only buy the size needed for the job. People will believe what they will in regards to cables even if the horses mouth, in this case David Saltz, says otherwise. Wireworld and others companies are smart to offer different lengths to their customers. They're in the business of selling cables.
