I am new here .
I was about to pull trigger for Classe SSP 800 and I happend to read about SP3. Since I have gone through this thread where people like Kal and James Tanner are commenting on SP3 and am inclining toward Bryston Sp3. My only concern is EQ issue with Bryston. I am also new to HiFi audio thing not much experience . Can any one advise how big is this EQ issue (not having that option on SP3. I have recently built a room (hometheatre) as my system did not sound good at all and some one suggested my room is a problem. Mohammad

However, as good as your room is, you may still want to re-adjust your room treatment to accomodate the specific frequency anomalies of the speakers you choose. If you cannot, EQ may just add that last bit of fine adjustment. If you simply built a dedicated room and the acoustics suck and you cant add any physical treatments to the room, then a prepro with a robust EQ might very well be a better answer. Having said that, I've had numerous web discussions with Kal at Sterophile over this, and he believes that, even within his moderately treated room, the SP3 sounds better than any other prepro he's auditioned in recent memory (Kal, I hope I'm stating that correctly). Hope that helps a little bit.
