New to SLC
I just moved out to Salt Lake City and am hoping some fellow members can provide recommendations for good hi-fi stores, music stores (I love mining through used CDs), or manufacturers to visit in the area. I'm waiting on the moving company to deliver my things so I have been feeling a bit deprived of audio lately. I'd love to spend some time over the weekend checking out a few places and maybe meeting a fellow audiophile or two.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Dan........That's a big change from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina to Salt Lake City, Utah. The Wasatch Mountain range is more dramatic, and the winters are considerable colder in Utah.

Wow that is a HUGE change, I too am moving soon from Cody WY Yellowstone area to Bullhead City AZ, one extreme to the next. I think in 5 years I am going to Florida.
OK Back on topic. nice store! n 1969 Randy was stationed in Vietnam and had the idea to Open an “Oldies” Record Shop in Utah. Upon returning to Salt Lake City, he purchased an Old Home in the Avenues with an Attached Store Front for the purpose of selling “Oldies”. Zoning had been changed and Randy was delayed as he could not have a retail business in that area. Randy continued to buy and collect oldies singles by the thousands knowing he would find a way. The Dream became a Reality when he Opened his doors for business on October 13th, 1978. Dan here are a few I have visited, one in the Draper area.
